What is Holistic Health and Wellness Coaching?

A certified holistic health and wellness coach works one-on-one with individuals who want to improve their overall health and well-being.  They help fill lifestyle gaps that doctors and nutritionists don’t have the time or resources to fill themselves. It can be challenging to identify, achieve, and maintain health goals – that’s where health coaches come in! The coach helps jump start motivation, encourage positive behavior change, and explore meaningful changes that help clients maintain healthy habits for life.

Your coach will guide you to find lifestyle choices that best support you and help you make gradual changes to achieve your goals that will support lasting healthy habits.

A 10-minute phone or video appointment to discuss specific health goals, individualized health and nutrition needs, and how your coach can guide you to get back on track to a healthier lifestyle.

Health and Wellness Coach

Ann is a certified Health and Wellness Coach who focuses on a holistic client-centered approach to overall wellness, stress management, health goals, and life transitions.  

Ann empowers her clients to tap into their own strengths and potential.  Ann works one on one with the client to mobilize their own motivations, life visions, and goals. She is trained in behavior change and spends more time asking great questions to help her clients find their own answers than providing the answers. 

Ann is a married mother of two in McKinney Texas. She loves running, spending time with her family, and being active in her church.

What to Expect

During the first session we will discuss your assessment which will include health history, goals, and previous challenges. We will start to identify your health and wellness vision and goals. 

The first visit will last about 60 minutes.

Initial Consultation

A health and wellness coach works one-on-one with individuals who want to improve their health and well-being. Using concepts drawn from psychology, behavior change, and life coaching fields, a wellness coach helps their client overcome obstacles to maintain healthy habits for life.


The initial consultation will be a time to get to know each other to ensure we will be a good fit and set expectations. An assessment will be given so we can tailor a plan that is unique to you Then during follow up appointments. At this time, we will start designing a health and wellness vision; start co-creating SMART goals; and address any barriers and/or challenges.  


Even though each session will be tailored to each client's needs, a similar structure will be followed. Below is a typical follow up session.


  • Session Opening 

    • Present moment check-in, connect to positive core, connect to wellness vision.

  • Weekly Goal Review 

    •  Explore past action & goal experience; address any barriers/challenges/learned experiences.

  • Focus Time 

    • Client to identify focus area and desired session outcome; identify SMART goals, plan of action and address any barriers.

  • Session Close

    • Summarize action plan, explore insights and feedback.

Follow-Up Visit

Each session will consist of checking in on your health and wellness vision and goal, addressing any new barriers/challenges and establishing new goals or actions steps for the following session.

Each session lasts about 45 minutes.
