CBD and THC for Pelvic Pain

It’s becoming more commonly used and accepted that THC and CBD can be used to treat pain, especially chronic pain, but using it to treat pelvic pain may be a new concept.

THC works to reduce pain in multiple ways.

  • Blocking the nerves from sending signals that your brain interprets as pain

  • Improving sleep

  • Improving stiffness

THC is not legal everywhere and that includes Texas but hemp is being sold legally and has a low concentration of THC which could be beneficial.  I should note that THC in any dose has not been approved by the FDA for this use and as such is not regulated. Be mindful that any products that you do buy are coming from a reputable source and check ingredients.

A variety of products have been developed for internal and external use for pelvic pain. These products can be administered in a variety of ways:

  • Suppositories

  • Tinctures (oral consumption)

  • Lotions

  • Oils

  • Serums

You may find that some work better than others for you or that you prefer a certain type.
